On Christmas Eve day I sat on one of my favorite beaches in the world, in the early morning, sand wet from a recent light rain, sun strong and soft. Aquaman was surfing with P. and I decided to use my new tarot cards for the first time. I followed the "ancient ten card spread" illustrated in the book that came with the deck. The first two of the ten cards I picked blew the top of my thinking and the revelations that ensued were surprising and delightful - inspiring a new focus and new goals for me as I enter my year of confidence.
The first card I picked, The Tower, is pretty intense. But in my opinion, the Tarot opens up new ways of thinking and looking at situations so that we can make better choices based on big thinking, not small thinking of fear and lack. There is no bad card to pick, even Death, or The Devil, as they all have their light and dark sides, the yin and yang - it's how open we are to looking and asking ourselves questions that will determine our paths and destinies, not the cards themselves.
Thank you, Tower card, and 12/24 reading (my first ever) for shaking things up, opening my eyes and heart, and best of all, surprising me, with my own inner knowing and guidance. Grateful!
Happy 3 Kings day!!
