We just moved to a charming little apt. in a house that was built "circa 1840." It is one of the oldest homes in Oakwood -- a historic district in downtown Raleigh, NC.
What I've observed while walking the dog:
Lots of Obama stickers on cars, stained glass and bevelled windows, gas lamps, rosemary bushes-on-steroids in folks' front yards, potted ferns hanging on front porches, wrought iron fences, parents pulling their kids in wagons down the sidewalk and people walking their dogs. It is a beautiful neighborhood -- very children's storybook.
