For the last week I've been making my way, slowly but surely, toward my new state of residence, North Carolina. Yesterday I made the trip southeast from Lexington, Kentucky down through Tennessee and into North Carolina. When I crossed the border into NC and saw the sign "Welcome to North Carolina" I was on a winding mountain road, the sky was blue, the air cold cold cold and the Allman Brothers song Ramblin' Man was blaring in my new ride. I must admit, I shed a tear of happiness. A perfect entry into a new leg of life and a new year. Lord I was born a ramblin' woman!
